Adult volunteers transport donations from Walmart or HyVee once a month to the Food Shelf. Walmart pick-ups take approximately 2 hours on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday afternoon. Walmart volunteers must be able to lift 50 pounds. HyVee pick-ups take approximately 1 hour on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. The amount of food donations varies. In addition to Walmart and HyVee, we have weekly Monday pick-ups from Fareway and The Markt. They each take approximately 1 hour.
